I pursued a Bachelor degree in Labor Relations with a minor in Education and worked in this field for a while. In 2004, I married my high-school sweetheart, Robert and for the past couple of years we’ve lived in Madrid, New York, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, Miami Beach & we are back in Los Angeles since 2014.
A few years ago we ended up touring the country and Tokyo, Japan for two years as part of the “In The Heights Broadway Show”, Robert, he was the percussionist. This is where I found my calling. While Robert was working,
I bought myself a camera and made the most of my free time. There were so many beautiful places and interesting people. It was the perfect hobby. Little did I know, it would soon become my passion.
Thankfully, I started to receive a lot of compliments of my photos and this incited me to continue with photography, but this time professionally.
As soon as the tour was over, I booked us tickets to Los Angeles and enrolled in one of the best schools of photography The Art Institute of California-Hollywood. One of my professors, Kevin McCarty recommended me for an internship at Milk Studios, Hollywood where I worked part-time. In December 2011, I finished my last quarter and I received the excellent news that I am in the Dean's Honor Roll.
We were in Miami Beach, now we are back in Los Angeles where I have been working on photo shoots and recording videos.
I'm grateful for the countless blessings and thank’s to Robert for his unconditional love and support.

I seek light that complements darkness. The story-telling process is what I love, arranging objects, utilizing props, and adding elements with the right timing. Surrounded by countless blessings with an uncertain future, I enjoy life. -Yari-
